Interventions were made employing educational and formation processes: (1) educating the leadership about the value of actualizing spiritual gifts, (2) awakening persons to the idea and benefit of gifts through sermons, (3) offering a class to help people discover and use their unique gifts, and (4) using gifts discernment in the officer nominating process. Some are gifted to be seekers of the gifted.  The challenge is to mobilize these steward-seekers, who can open doors to service, especially at the regional levels of the church.  The method used was to design interventions to test this theory in a particular regional body for several months, after studying the dynamics of volunteerism, biblical teaching, tradition, and current studies in the sociology of groups.
