A vision of the church which is more biblical and more faithful to the Baptist tradition is necessary to change that which prevents the members of Christ's body from sharing power. This thesis presents an initial process from sharing power. This thesis presents an initial process for transforming a Baptist congregation by beginning an envisioning process, empowering the decision-making mechanisms to become more public, and modeling patterns of partnering as staff."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["McCormick Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["7eda0323-a6d9-4fe2-807a-22620dd389a5"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791128760646369280,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:04:56.404Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T02:40:55Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:06:15Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"ede7bd13-d24c-43eb-85c9-08ac2e1ab23e","accessControl_ssim":["760bc0f9-5af1-463b-a082-2a7fd4bbb9c4"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Seeking shalom: toward a balance of action and reflection in social service ministries"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T02:40:54Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T04:55:47Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["085937d9-384c-4bc8-b889-10fbbc2f397f"],"hasLease_ssim":["659d58ed-b269-49fe-93ab-244e91fbab9c"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["McCormick Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Daniel Rodriguez"],"year_tesim":["1993"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Galen Carey"],"publisher_tesim":["McCormick Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Social service","Social workers","Peace--Religious aspects"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["Social service ministries seek to restore wholeness among the individuals and communities they serve.
