Seven individuals were trained to teach in three designated religious groups.  Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormonism and the New Age movement were studied through lectures, field trips, audiovisual materials, private research and personal interviews.  The seven individuals trained seventy others within the context of two Associational Interfaith Witness conferences. The method of research included assisting participants to clarify their beliefs through a confession of faith workshop; engaging in action-reflection experiences before and after the retreat; and utilizing a theological reflection model to improve analysis and assessment of pastoral care experiences.  This project also included the design and utilization of two diagnostic tools. Following a pre-test, the application of the course and two post-tests yielded the necessary data in this quasi-experiment. A great number of people, however, are not being reached for Sunday school because they are not attracted to the traditional approach of many churches. The purpose of this project was to offer an alternative to the traditional class.  Working from the assumption that many people would be interested in Bible study without the pressure of studying quarterlies, reading in class, and answering questions, the author developed the class.  Two methods of study were employed in the development of the class: a study of current trends in evangelism and church growth was conducted; and, an in-house survey of current church members and a survey of the community were conducted. It was discovered during the process that a need existed for an alternative Sunday school class. In order to help lay people find God's will for their ministry a tool needs to be developed in order to enable the laity to better match their abilities and gifts to ministry opportunities.  The author researched the biblical material concerning God's call and spiritual gifts. The ministry opportunities at Green Acres Baptist Church were then studied, and which gifts matched which opportunities. The author then conducted a ministry discovery workshop to help lay people looking for ministry positions to find them. It was an attempt to examine how character development principles are internalized and integrated.  Participants received guidance for experiencing authentic well-being.  Well-being enables Christians to function in a harmonious and peaceful relationship with God, self, others, and the world. Research revealed a need for seminaries to become more intentional about designing wholistic character development programs, academic and student life programs.  Research also revealed significant deficiencies among seminarians for understanding and assimilating the spiritual
