This project culminated in the creation of a training manual for Christian counselors who counsel parents of blended families to help them with blended family skills. The goal was to utilize information discovered through research about family worship disciplines as it relates to married couples with children to develop a curriculum to equip participants to initiate family worship disciplines. The selected group of married couples received workshop materials, instruction on practicing family worship disciplines, sample curriculum to teach at home, as well as demonstration of families practicing family worship disciplines. The training occurred in five sessions over the course of several weeks. Three communication skills were covered in six weekly training sessions.  Those skills were verbal, nonverbal, and listening.  Evaluation of the experimental group was performed by means of descriptive survey methodology, simple statistical analysis, and critical pastoral reflection. Statistically significant improvement of the entire experimental population was not observed, although the parent participants separately did demonstrate measurable improvement. Research was accomplished to discover children's basic developmental needs and parenting skills necessary to meet the needs.  A six-week parent training seminar was attended by seven parents.  Pre- and posttests were administered to parents and their children, with a time-lapse evaluation also given to parents.
