Drawing on research in communication theory, levels of learning, and convergence worship theory, the project designs and tests a nine-lesson study guide for persons serving congregations consisting of worshipers from diverse backgrounds. It proposes a series of studies and activity that will enable the church member to grow in his understanding and practice of discipleship. The project includes brief philosophies of discipleship and of Christian education and a plan for organizing and administering the school. The software development is specifically aimed toward Christian education purposes in support of established curriculum.  After stating the importance of a thorough demographic study, the author reviews implementation issues in computer-assisted instruction.  A biblical and theological-ethical foundation lends support to a style of 'friendship' administration developed for this project.  The program development committee authored software which was used in two Sunday school classes successfully.
