Electronic media create a fundamental shift from a 'propositional' to a 'narrative' paradigm.  Worldviews fostered by the emerging electronic paradigm have much in common with the oral and manuscript cultures in which Scripture texts originated. The nature, foundations, and consequences of this shift are documented in detail, to support the thesis that participatory performance of Scripture is a powerfully effective mode of establishing and maintaining Christian community.
