Notable congregations almost without exception rank themselves higher in the ministry functions of the guidelines. In his advocacy of the 'Concert for Prayer' movement, Edwards showed awareness of the spiritual dynamics of mission and of the vital connection between ecumenics and mission. The project searched and analyzed the problem of ancestral worship through a questionnaire which was addressed to the ministers in rural, urban, and metropolitan areas.
