The author researched selective biblical texts which deal with church discipline. He studied effective communication to advocate the need for change toward practicing discipline. He focused on training the deacons of Macedonia through a six-week seminar to implement discipline in the church. The research instruments were surveys used in the Likert scale. A process of application was developed and then implemented during a ten week sermon series which was evaluated by a peer as well as congregational group. The author improved measurably during the process. A focus group and surveys were used to help gain the necessary research. They needed a foundation in apologetics to engage people in prolonged spiritual conversations.
