It uses his primary works (especially City of God, Confessions, On Christian teaching, Commentary on Galatians and 84 propositions from the Epistles of Romans) as they develop Paul's theology of sin. It builds a theological foundation (based on four theological issues about sin: its origin, its nature, its consequence, and its remedy) in order to establish a correct understanding of the topic of sin in a contemporary context. Ultimately, it utilizes that information to develop a practical theology that is integrated into applicable Christian living in four areas: soteriology, evangelism, ecclesiology, and discipleship. The thesis is that in contexts where Directors of Missions relate to multiple Baptist Associations this unique model offers increased opportunities and possibilities of enhanced ministry effectiveness and relevancy while maintaining the historic/geographic associational affinities. Chapter one includes a statement of the problem in the ministry context as a rationale for assessment and response. Chapter two seeks to demonstrate a workable strategic planning 'map' employed in the author's context with possible applications for associations considering consolidation. The map demonstrates how the theological and philosophical basis for the project was developed and implemented in the author's context. Chapter three provides preliminary analysis of the project application and leadership effectiveness with extrapolation concerning the future of the Heart of Texas Baptist Network based on the preliminary responses of constituents. The primary conviction of the author is that Baptist Associationalism stands at a time-critical juncture in light of quantum change impacting the world. This quantum change demands response from associational leaders. This research thesis examines both biblical and Confucian teachings on four key concepts, 'human dignity,' 'suffering,' 'suicide,' and 'life after death,' pertaining to end-of-life issues. The focus of application is on patient autonomy, physician-assisted suicide, and decisions on withholding or withdrawing life-sustaining treatment. The goal is to provide a biblical foundation to a pro-life position and to gain insight on what one needs to be aware of when making end-of-life decisions in a Chinese-Confucian context. The main reason for this appears to be cultural;  a Korean cherishes his honor and tends to keep up appearances. The Korean term for this is che myun. To overcome this cultural barrier, the project leader developed the delayed-response invitation program. He projects this program to be a more effective invitation method for Korean people than the immediate-response invitation. The project involved evangelistic preaching, the project leader made an announcement that a class would start the following week for those interested in learning more about the Christian faith. Those who responded to such an invitation were connected automatically to a four-week teaching program.
