Matthew","Bible--Psychology"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["Media ministry publishes gospel content on paper, on the air, and online, but few robust feedback systems are in place to measure the spiritual impact of gospel broadcasts. This study articulated a theoretical foundation of a biblical theology and review of pastoral practices on children and parenting, published a resource on biblical parenting for distribution through the Internet, and then asked the audience for feedback.The resource was rooted in a study of how the Bible regards both children and the task of parenting. The study also explored models of faith formation, pastoral parenting best practices, and a review of the religious landscape of contemporary youth. A 93-page electronic booklet (PDF) called “A Handbook of Biblical Parenting” was developed and shared with over a thousand people online, who were then invited via email to complete an online questionnaire.The response rate was less than 2%, yet the audience was demographically in line with the expected audience. Most respondents were actively parenting young children, expressed an improvement in their parenting confidence, and found the resource practical, using its ideas several times. Most considered faith important to their parenting and found the resource to be encouraging, biblical, and educational. Most consumed the PDF deeply, even though most used a handheld mobile device. A repeated use of this prototype process would require a greater response rate to be consistently useful. Formatting for a small screen would be wise. The questions would require adaptation for other topics. Historically, the focus of Christian discipleship has been to produce greater spiritual health and maturity.  Author Pete Scazzero, in his book, The Emotionally Healthy Church,  offers a paradigm of discipleship that promises to also produce greater emotional health and maturity.  This project sought to test the validity of this discipleship paradigm, by teaching and utilizing the principles of The Emotionally Healthy Church in an extended discipleship workshop process with 20-30 adult Christians within our congregation. This study concerns itself with relationships and how intimacy, conflict, and communication affect codependent relationships. The study examines the Bible, analytical psychology, and traces relationships from biblical times to the present. The project presents a psycho-educational view, which combines and integrates psychology and religion. Combining the cognitive, affective, and spiritual, this project presents a curriculum that specifically speaks to individuals with poor skills in maintaining relationships due to codependent behavior patterns. The approach used is outlined and presented in a ten week intensive course. Utilizing the tenets of family therapy, education, and the Bible, the course assists participants in addressing and working through prior experiences that hinder the forming and maintaining of healthy relationships. This project attempts to supply a simple tool to help adult believers begin to counter its effects.  A study of the biblical doctrine of the mind led to the conclusion that the mind is not merely the place of intellectual activity; it is the wellspring of moral behavior.  As such it must be renewed if transformation of life is to overcome conformity to the world.
