Over the 8 weeks of the course students were exposed to biblical teachings on divorce and remarriage and how these teachings tend to be organized into biblical positions. While students were not compelled to embrace a particular position, they were encouraged to draw definite conclusions based upon teachings. Study of mentoring practice, particularly as modeled by Jesus and Paul, revealed the biblical prominence of this leadership development approach. Educational literature review identified the best training principles and practices for adult learners, specifically church planters. Qualitative research interviews were conducted with seminary administrators, field mentors, and mentored seminarians now active in church planting. Field education documents from twelve evangelical seminaries were studied. This study explored how disciples of Jesus Christ from upper-caste Hindu and Jain Gujarati backgrounds (outside India) perceive their experiences of opposition from family and community/caste, resulting in alienation, during the time they were being evangelized. Research combined interviews of Gujarati believers (from the UK and Africa) with interviews of two missionaries. Believers reported receiving little guidance for discussing their journey with family members. Negative reactions came when individuals professed faith in Christ. Intense relational breakdown was short-lived. Matthew","Bible--Theology"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The point of this project was to communicate the practical applications of a premillennial theology of the kingdom to both personal and corporate life by means of a preaching series from select parables of Matthew's Gospel. Fifteen qualified people from the congregation evaluated the project by means of questionnaires, personal interviews, and group interviews. A combination of quantitative and qualitative field research was conducted to achieve the goals of this project. It included three main components: Biblical research on longevity in ministry, using as a model the life, ministry, and leadership of Moses; contemporary literature research on issues influential to longevity, in particular, the pastor's sense of 'calling'; and conducted field research with 48 pastors in the Christian Reformed Church in North America, the great majority of whom served long-term (15 years and more) in their current ministry leadership pastoral capacities.
