A manual used for session content was written.  The goal was to make membership meaningful at the church.  Three seminars were evaluated.  It was the author's objective to increase the effectiveness of the church in communicating and teaching the value of membership to prospective new members. Chapter 4 is a synthetic summary of regeneration and conversion.  Chapter 5 reflects upon the class experience of the learners. A preaching series and small group discussions generated insgihts into the strengths and weaknesses of the particular church.  Group evaluations were shared with the governing board of the church.  Suggestions for possible implementation were communicated to various boards, staff, and teams.  Goals and objectives were set in accordance with these conclusions. Further, contemporary worship and praise movements pose a challenge in the examination of relevance for missions. Thus we are on a social collision course of epic proportions with no unifying catalyst in sight.  This paper is an appeal for the evangelical church to be this catalyst. We have not yet assumed that position. Insights gained are applied to prayer and evangelism.  Historical research was done, current residents were interviewed and conclusions have been drawn.  Specific redemptive gifts and spiritual strongholds were identified in the church and community. The author limited the scope of the study in the groups to five key areas of spiritual growth and the groups met for one and a half hours, once a week for forty one weeks.  The author evaluated the groups at the mid-point and at the end of the group life. Evaluative tools employe were surveys and personal interviews. Questionnaires were given at the beginning and at the end of the program.  The results of the questionnaires indicated that students grew in their Christian faith as demonstrated by an increase in discernible discipleship habits.  The liturgy helped facilitate that end.  The mentors developed relationships with the mentorees that empowered them to grow in their Christian faith.
