A telephone survey solicits data from 169 churches, and a random sample of 30 churches are personally interviewed using an extended survey instrument.  The project subjects responses to exploratory and inferential analyses, using the multiple and stepwise regressions. The survey, a 13-page, 57-question document, attempts to evaluate the effects of the trips on participants. It was returned by 77 participants for a response ratio of 68 percent.
