A lay and clergy pilot group of some fifteen persons (Methodists and others) prepared themselves for such union by concentrating on five areas of study: the nature of the church, evangelism, the place of women in the church, music, and the origins of the three black Methodist denominations.  The result of implementing and documenting the educational plan thus described constitutes a manual for study at the grassroots level to advance the desired readiness for union."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["United Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["f0f9c284-37b6-440c-96ab-39e6509e82ee"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791127737690226688,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:48:40.837Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":8,"label":"Unknown"}],"label":"Resource Type"},{"name":"creator_sim","items":[{"value":"Beletia Marvray Diamond","hits":1,"label":"Beletia Marvray Diamond"},{"value":"Bennie T Henson","hits":1,"label":"Bennie T Henson"},{"value":"Captolia Dent Newbern","hits":1,"label":"Captolia Dent Newbern"},{"value":"Christopher M Hamlin","hits":1,"label":"Christopher M Hamlin"},{"value":"Gale Kennebrew Poindexter","hits":1,"label":"Gale Kennebrew Poindexter"},{"value":"Mellissa Jwahir Brathwaite","hits":1,"label":"Mellissa Jwahir Brathwaite"}],"label":"Creator Sim"},{"name":"contributor_sim","items":[],"label":"Contributor"},{"name":"keyword_sim","items":[],"label":"Keyword"},{"name":"subject_sim","items":[{"value":"African Americans","hits":8,"label":"African Americans"},{"value":"Church history","hits":3,"label":"Church history"},{"value":"African American churches","hits":2,"label":"African American churches"},{"value":"Health","hits":2,"label":"Health"},{"value":"Medical care","hits":2,"label":"Medical care"},{"value":"Religion","hits":2,"label":"Religion"}],"label":"Subject"},{"name":"location_sim","items":[{"value":"Illinois--Chicago","hits":1,"label":"Illinois--Chicago"},{"value":"United States","hits":1,"label":"United States"}],"label":"Location"},{"name":"language_sim","items":[{"value":"English","hits":8,"label":"English"}],"label":"Language"},{"name":"publisher_sim","items":[{"value":"United Theological Seminary (OH)","hits":6,"label":"United Theological Seminary (OH)"},{"value":"United Theological Seminary","hits":1,"label":"United Theological Seminary"},{"value":"United Theological Seminary (Dayton, OH)","hits":1,"label":"United Theological Seminary (Dayton, OH)"}],"label":"Publisher"},{"name":"date_created_sim","items":[],"label":"Date Created"},{"name":"types_sim","items":[{"value":"Text","hits":8,"label":"Text"}],"label":"Type"},{"name":"year_sim","items":[{"value":"1996","hits":3,"label":"1996"},{"value":"1982","hits":1,"label":"1982"},{"value":"1997","hits":1,"label":"1997"},{"value":"2002","hits":1,"label":"2002"},{"value":"2004","hits":1,"label":"2004"},{"value":"2006","hits":1,"label":"2006"}],"label":"Year"},{"name":"format_sim","items":[],"label":"Format"},{"name":"member_of_collections_ssim","items":[{"value":"United Theological Seminary","hits":8,"label":"United Theological Seminary"}],"label":"Collections"},{"name":"degree_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":8,"label":"Unknown"}],"label":"Degree"},{"name":"discipline_sim","items":[],"label":"Discipline"},{"name":"degree_granting_institution_sim","items":[{"value":"United Theological Seminary","hits":8,"label":"United Theological Seminary"}],"label":"Degree Granting Institution"},{"name":"department_sim","items":[],"label":"Department"},{"name":"funder_name_sim","items":[],"label":"Funder Name"},{"name":"event_title_sim","items":[],"label":"Event Title"},{"name":"event_date_sim","items":[],"label":"Event Date"},{"name":"institution_sim","items":[{"value":"Atla RIM","hits":8,"label":"Atla RIM"}],"label":"Host Institution"}],"pages":{"current_page":1,"next_page":null,"prev_page":null,"total_pages":1,"limit_value":10,"offset_value":0,"total_count":8,"first_page?":true,"last_page?":true}}}
