The hypothesis is through the teaching of current  trends of domestic violence, an increased awareness of domestic violence will be enhanced.  The methodology used to test the hypothesis will be quantitive through the use of pre and post questionaires surveys and interviews. In this project, eighteen clergy from different denominations in the Greater Kanawha Valley in West Virginia participated in focus groups addressing questions selected by the moderator. Clergy members were encouraged to talk freely about their concerns and perspectives. Verbatim transcripts were generated from three focus-group discussions.  Quotes from clergy participants were grouped into thematic areas for the purpose of qualitative analysis.
