This model helps congregations determine whether a pedagogical or andragogical approach to teaching and learning is the most appropriate for that particular context.  Eight chapters focus on key areas of the teaching/learning experience.  A theoretical consideration of each topic is offered, as well as a practical teaching/learning strategy that can be utilized within teacher training sessions. Factors that discouraged pastors from being evaluated were discovered and addressed.  The report outlines problems affecting pastoral evaluation and describes a process that allayed pastors' concerns about evaluation.  Methodology included surveys, interviews, and the involvement of pastors, laypeople, and church administrators in developing an evaluation process and instruments. The churches were stimulated to anticipate their future in view of the long-term impact of the rural crisis. The workshop was divided into four areas: developing our own story, demonstrating two styles of storytelling, the reason for telling the faith stories, and sharing our faith story as a fulfillment of the Great Commission.  The workshop was constructed with the help of the project associates at First United Methodist Church in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania.  It was tested on church school teachers from three other churches.
