A booklet of children's sermon experiences for Lent following year B of the New Common Lectionary was developed and distributed to clergy and lay worship leaders.  These children's sermons were then shared with congregations and critiqued by both lay and clergy worship leaders who completed pre-implementation and post-implementation questionnaires to describe the worship settings and to evaluate the children's sermons. It includes a congregational survey, materials on recruitment and leadership training, promotion, monthly leader support, evaluation, and ongoing outreach to new persons.  Nine small groups were formed from support to study.  They were designed to run on a nine-month cycle with the option of disbanding, starting new groups, or reuniting in the fall. The project utilized a thirteen-week discussion manual and video.  The course dealt with those topics of interest determined by members who were surveyed within the author's context of ministry. Interviews were carried out with seven clergywomen and twenty-four laywomen.  The relationships described were categorized according to models of fathering developed by other researchers.  Responses about gender-specific names for God were put together with father-daughter relationship data to see possible patterns. The greatest difference appeared between clergywomen and laywomen.  Clergywomen were more discriminating in choosing names for the divinity; laywomen were open to a wider variety of names. African American professional and business persons were also invited to address the group. This was accomplished by the analysis of a study of seven sermons preached by African American female pastors in the African Methodist Episcopal Church in the Baltimore Conference, and a workshop which focused on a model to be used for sermon preparation. Volume 1 is a narrative description of the project, volume 2 the curriculum.  A high school curriculum was developed using Groome's method of shared Christian praxis to pass on the spirituality of the Order of Visitation. The curriculum was field-tested by two Visitation schools and deemed successful.
