It deals mainly with the death of a pastor's wife and the pastoral care received during the dying process.  It also includes interviews with ten individuals who experienced the death of a loved one during a period of active ministry to a congregation as a pastor. The program introduces participants to Jewish and Christian theological perspectives of the human condition by exploring, contrasting, and comparing Jewish and Christian writings from five historical periods: biblical, late antiquity, medieval, renaissance and modern. That being the case, the dynamic of worship deserves most careful attention.  Research is conducted through analysis of the Bible and historical writings of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).  This is placed within the framework of the 'five orders of worship' of Campbell and early Disciples.  The author concludes that Disciples are forsaking their historical/theological heritage in public leadership of worship.
