Based on a theology of space within the Trinity, the researcher modified Oasis’s previous ministries to include small group interventions and original art and videos shared on an online blog. An online survey affirmed the values of creativity and shared experiences. The paper concludes with recommendations for Church renewal based on the intervention. Shared leadership, creativity, and flexibility will help young adults connect with God and each other and make the Church more accessible to all. Site visits were made to four nationally recognized United Methodist urban ministries that engage in partnered ministry initiatives.  Insights gained from these visits were applied to the development and implementation of an asset based partnered ministry model for the United Methodist Church Union. The method of study was based on faith practices, opportunities for interaction, one-on-one interviews, and surveys disseminated to leaders and members of each group. This project questioned whether the Beulah Land Community Church could intervene and interrupt the cycles of destruction of a four-generation family. I propose that the theology of Black liberation is a good theoretical place to begin to think about how to achieve such a goal. The biblical and theological foundations section of this paper is an attempt to show how God has demonstrated a preference for the poor and the oppressed and how the urban church is called to do the same in its ministry.
