First, the author researched biblical and theological implications through 1 Corinthians by defining a 'bicultural community.' Second, he evaluated the current bilingual way of preaching and whether it could support creating harmony between Korean members and other ethnic groups at the Alpha Korean Community Church in Washington, DC by interviewing co-pastors, distributing surveys, and receiving professional advice. By examining the historical case of Briggs v. Elliott and the present-day situation of county schools, the author found schools are technically desegregated but are far from integrated. Ninety-eight percent of the students are African-American. In present day Summerton, separate still exists and equality remains just out of grasp.
