The principal idea used was John Wesley's admonition to 'earn all you can, save all you can, and give all you can.' This method can be applied to finances and all aspects of discipleship. The author used a four-week Bible study to examine this holistic method of stewardship. Jerome Berryman's model for children's worship (Godly play) shows how through creativity and play children experience spirituality as transcendence and awe. The methodology of this technique will be transferred to adult ministry. Critiques of worship services, liturgy and alternative media are presented."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["5a6e4a36-5801-4bff-8e61-86d7489efb4a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799715807235670016,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T01:52:22.190Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T10:50:41Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T02:15:13Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"1daaf1a4-29ac-467a-87f7-8b0e40b155f6","accessControl_ssim":["6172f5ec-ec86-450c-b267-48f437a0d553"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["The discernment of covenant relationships for Christian marriage partners using the Bible, theology and art"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T10:50:40Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T23:00:31Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["f6538f24-5819-414b-990f-24f854a2327c"],"hasLease_ssim":["97a7f8fc-848c-468c-9ab0-d546931afdf7"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Doctor of Ministry"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Deborah Sokolove"],"year_tesim":["2006"],"resource_type_tesim":["D.Min. The goal was to move congregants from cultural forms of denial of suffering to a biblical theology of communicating suffering.
