Clergy question their meaningfulness as well as confront the violation of deeply-held expectations regarding their vocation and results of their labors. Clergy seek to improve their circumstances by turning to spiritual, social, emotional, and/or intellectual resources. The multi-faceted responsibility of pastoring a local church makes the practice very difficult. A study of the development of pastoral care in scripture and history led the author to define pastoral care as leading people into holy living through their faith in Christ within the context of the local congregation provided a foundation for developing praxis for the responsibility. The mutual ministry of the people provides care that has been the objective of pastoral visitation. It attempts to discern if these are working models of ministry in which persons from different socio-economic situation work together in mutual relationship of ministry. It sets forth their successes and what they have found to be obstacles in their lives together. This project gathers its information from interviews of the clergy and lay members of these churches and documents including covenants, minutes from meetings, written agreements, proposals, etc. The project concludes that these are working models that vary greatly in detail, but each can be described as mutual."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["5a6e4a36-5801-4bff-8e61-86d7489efb4a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799718655172280320,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T02:37:38.195Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T20:56:54Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T03:28:57Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"cdc24bf1-d391-4c54-9a0e-e82e80169e90","accessControl_ssim":["c928007a-cb19-495c-8a0d-79025881d715"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Zion the beautiful beckons us on: biblical roots of Zionic theology in the reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T20:56:53Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T04:02:11Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["66238fd5-a7bf-4636-bae4-9a2dfca93c8d"],"hasLease_ssim":["39a811b4-020b-4ebf-9bca-115b8b4e58ed"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Doctor of Ministry"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Douglas M Strong"],"year_tesim":["2001"],"resource_type_tesim":["D.Min.
