The author traced the topic through its historical, agricultural, political and theological aspects.  The identity of owner-shepherds as distinct from under-shepherds was developed.  The method of research included interviews with shepherds in the Middle East and the United States, and extensive study and exegesis of the many biblical passages relating to the subject. This seminar provides the participants with information to motivate them to build bridges of friendship tothese communities so that the gospel can be shared in word and deed.  The methods of research are participant observation, academic research, surveys, and interviews. Exegetical and theological studies explore the topic of team leadership as it is presented in Acts 15.  A manual for leadership teams presents a format for making decisions when there is no hierarchy of leadership, describes the task of team member and team leader, and presents strategies for arriving at consensus.
