Compatibility is established in the first session of a five-session program by using William Schutz's FIRO-B inventory, family systems data, and the couple's courtship data.  During the fifth session, the couple retake the FIRO-B and again respond to a taped marital conflict.  The retest results show evidence of growth. Results from the program demonstrate that four of the five couples tested show an increase in negotiation learning and compatibility. Christian maturation is defined as growth toward having a Spirit-filled character as described in the New Testament.  A six month course was taught in six churches and involved thirty-four people.  Pre- and post-course psychological testing instruments were used as well as questionnaires at the end of the course.  The comparison of the testing instruments' data shows a significant growth toward Christian maturity as defined by the author.
