Research shows there is a consistent decline in people attending church. The two congregations I serve are experiencing this decline. They were more inward focused and less missional minded. At one time, the four walls of the church were sufficient for ministry, because people came to the house of God. However, there has been a shift in the demographics, the attitudes and behaviors of the community. The author led a process of engagement with four churches to support the new church with their gifts, four with their presence and prayer, and four with their service and witness. While conducting a series of meetings with clergy and denominational leaders, the idea of building a collaborative network of United Methodist Churches that can be the foundation and support of a new church wasn't totally possible. In the process, the unique circumstances of the Korean church and the applicability of the ministry were considered. The researcher facilitated the work of the Kingsport District re-think team as they demonstrated the accomplishment of a district-wide strategy that equipped and empowered congregational leaders toward increasing the United Methodist witness. For effective short-term mission trips, a theological foundation towards the mission should be established and detailed manuals are essential. Therefore, the research has been based on the theological foundation of the 'Konvivenz Mission'.  And hence a short-term mission trip manual has been compiled. This manual hs been used to conduct a short-term mission trip at Baekwoon Church. Anonymous surveys have been done among participants. The questionnaire was focused on the changes of attitudes before and after short-term mission tips.  The results show that when the short-term mission trip was conducted using the manual presented in this paper, the 'Konvivenz Mission' has been accomplished most of the time. This thesis was tested with pre- and post-study surveys of A welcoming life participants. Results show that participants changed their beliefs about hospitality and God's desire for them to share their faith and their behavior regarding the frequency with which they share their faith and invite others to their churches. What can the General Board of Global Missions of the United Methodist Church do to become more pragmatic and faithful to the call? The study utilized biblical and literary research. An African reading of Exodus was explored and engaged.
