She used qualitative triangulation data to develop and test the course 'Women in Ministry'. Although women represented over 50% of the church's membership, findings revealed cultural/traditional socialization and lack of finances impeded their advancement. The pilot stimulated awareness, transformed participants' perceptions and aptitude. The author explores the austere working environment of military chaplains.  Then he researches the Order and Rule of the Knights Templar, extrapolating the primary spiritual disciplines, to develop a modern day Order for Christian Military Chaplains.  The author tests the effectiveness of the Order through a four-week study. Furthermore, many black churches and denominations have opted to use a Sunday School outline with roots in white Protestant theology and are employing a pedagogy that negates the genius of black youth. The author also studies theological motifs of Christian community as a foundational preparation for churches and annual conferences to engage in transformative ministry. One consists of a detailed and systematic review of the content of twelve central courses currently being taught at the Canada Institute of Linguistics as part of a program of training for the role of 'Translation Specialist.' The content of each of these courses is mapped to a set of competencies expected of those who are to serve in this role. The other component consists of an analysis of survey results in which translation specialists, their supervisors and mother-tongue translators reflect on actual field performance and the effectiveness of prefield training in preparation for fieldwork. Failure to properly take care of and appreciate the physical body, the Temple of the Divine, has played a role in the lost effectiveness of clergy and the lost vitality of the local church.
