By utilizing research and statistics, the writer sought to determine what the African American houses of worship are doing or not doing and what is needed going forward to help eradicate HIV/AIDS. What the writer discovered as a result of research, interviews, and workshops was that some of the clergy in the city and across the state of New Jersey were willing to start an HIV/AIDS ministry in their churches. The writer also documented the fact that there were those among the clergy willing to have someone come to their church once a quarter to speak on HIV/AIDS. Others were willing to put HIV/AIDS facts in their Sunday morning bulletins... Other pastors committed to providing pastoral care and counseling to those who were infected and affected. Within the context of the congregation this writer serves, he sought to structure a conversation among young adults currently active within the church and those without through surveys and interviews. His question was this, 'can I help soldiers who have a hard time adjusting to the Korean Army by teaching the art of re-authoring their myths while they are in vision camp?' He used a combined a case study and a ministry tool that can be used in any vision camp or any retreat program in local churches. The result was a quite good but some limitations are found. The practice of this program Sae-onyang Chuch, whose theological background is John Wesley's Christian education for children as a means of social holiness, shows the necessity of developing a program that has both religious and English educational effects. The leadership, guidance, and participation of people of color are needed to develop ministries to assist ex-offenders and their families in order to restore wholesomeness to our communities. The author utilized the pastoral ethnographic study as the method of research. The conclusions reached from this study reflect the astronomical injustices executed specifically in the African American communities. Shame is a deep social problem leading even more so to profound social, emotional and personality disorders. The purpose of this research is to bring attention to the plight of African American adolescent males and their problems with shame. Specifically, the author implemented, observed, and evaluated the impact of introducing the worship arts (dance, drama, music, visual and media art) into the corporate worship experience. Ultimately, the author concluded that the introduction of the worship arts into the corporate worship experience has reinvigorated the worship spirit of the congregation and heightened the congregation's receptivity to change. While this accomodation to the deaf is valid, there is a need in the hearing communities to build deeper, more appropriate ministries with the deaf. How can deaf ministry be effective, more appropriate ministries with the deaf. How can deaf ministry be effective within the context of a predominately hearing community? Travelling with American Sign Language interpreters, the author interviewed members of the deaf community in the Baltimore-Washington and Fredrerick, Maryland area. The major academic background is John Wesley's social holiness. The purpose of this thesis is to apply John Wesley's social holiness to young adult groups. The practice of this project was performed in the Chuncheon Central Methodist Church in Korea. The author has been trying several things - sermons, offerings, service club (Dream Tree), and summer Bible school for children with his young adult group. The author found new possibilities for the transformation of Korean churches by means of the social holiness movement which John Wesley and the early Methodists began. For effective short-term mission trips, a theological foundation towards the mission should be established and detailed manuals are essential. Therefore, the research has been based on the theological foundation of the 'Konvivenz Mission'.  And hence a short-term mission trip manual has been compiled. This manual hs been used to conduct a short-term mission trip at Baekwoon Church. Anonymous surveys have been done among participants. The questionnaire was focused on the changes of attitudes before and after short-term mission tips.  The results show that when the short-term mission trip was conducted using the manual presented in this paper, the 'Konvivenz Mission' has been accomplished most of the time.
