The author explored how reclaiming the model of prayer found in the Psalms and its undergirding theology may offer a healthier model of prayer. Lectio Divina was introduced as a vehicle to encourage retreat participants to write their own poem/prayers. Next, the author practiced a project called 'Diakonia Training School' for five weeks for ten members of Beautiful Church. All of the participants experienced many changes in their personal faith and the community of faith through the training. Having historical and theological observation, he proposed a new curriculum, which has the four-fold method of refinements that makes infant baptism meaningful: from a passive to an active motivation; from a nominal to a practical orientation; from short-term to long-term aims; and from a haphazard to a systematic infant baptism curriculum. The Korean church needs new pastoral care and methods for elderly parishioners. The author insisted that the serious problems of aging must be solved in a family. For the project he selected six families whose grown-up children lived away from parents. Participants took some educational programs and the author sent pictures and video clips of them to their children by email. The author used an evolving narrative to illustrate the benefits and challenges of co-pastoring in the local church. As an initial effort to examine co-pastoring as a leadership model at First United Methodist Church, Hershey, identified clearly is the understanding that without humility, respect, and trust a co-pastoring appointment will not succeed. Ten husbands of female pastors in the House of God Church were identified to define their role as the 'first gentleman.' The methodology was approached from a pastoral counselor's perspective. Strategies of brief counseling theory (Stone, 2001) were used to develop survey and interview questions for the participants.
