Pastoral leadership can help a midsize congregation out of the shadow of the mega-church to establish its own relevant ministries. Vision is critically important, for where there is no vision, the people do perish. The whole church must welcome new people and be open to new ministerial ideas. Knowing one's congregation and being knowledgeable of community needs are of utmost importance. In this paper, the author has designed a ministry tool that improves upon the existing visual arts worship resources by providing background information and theological observations for the visual art used in the Advent C cycle of lectionary preaching. The goal of ministry in the modified congregational context is to keep the congregation operating within the context of the Mosaic covenant community. A study of clergywomen in the United States unveils the dynamics of sexual harassment.  Vivid personal stories from women who experienced sexual harassment show that problems usually are left unattended by church leaders.  The secular law, women's studies, family systems theory, and leadership paradigms each offer challenges and opportunities. Jerome Berryman's model for children's worship (Godly play) shows how through creativity and play children experience spirituality as transcendence and awe. The methodology of this technique will be transferred to adult ministry. The discernment of this covenant relationship with God and each other was described through biblical exegesis, theological doctrine, contemporary writings and artistic expression. A lectionary study book on suffering and three specific psalms was prepared.  A diverse group of pastors was recruited to take part in the study and preach a three-Sunday sermon series on three lament psalms.  The goal was to move congregants from cultural forms of denial of suffering to a biblical theology of communicating suffering.  Response cards indicated that 40% of the respondents changed their beliefs regarding God and suffering. This paper considered how to form these strategies by comparing the attitudes of present-day Serbs toward money and the church with the experience of churches in North America in relationship to money and discipleship formation. Jung's dream analysis methods to unfold Jesus' parables in ways that encourage emotional and spiritual healing for parishioners in a pastoral counseling setting.  Three aspects of Jung's dream analysis -- amplification, compensation, and context -- provided the framework for the creation of the Dreaming Parables Guide.  The method of study followed a Sunday morning adult Bible class for eight weeks using the guide to explore Jesus' parables. The research in this project was conducted in conjunction with the United Methodist General Board of Discipleship.  It offers a brief historical look at lay ministry and addresses the need for involvement of the laity in the life of the church.  Particular attention was paid to the state of church membership of the Peninsula-Delaware Conference of the United Methodist Church.
