The project director researched the field of multiplication practices to gain a better understanding of various settings including community, business, and religious practices. Once the research was underway, the project director reported on the findings and sought to establish a connection between successful group multiplication practices and application in a specific religious setting. He wrote a curriculum to present to the adult small group Sunday school and Bible study leaders at Philadelphia Baptist Church. The first chapter goes into great detail of the context of not only the church, but also the surrounding community. By way of understanding the context of the church and community, one can see the great need for biblical servant leaders as well as determine whether this project is helpful to you in your context. Chapter two intently researches the biblical foundation of the office of deacon, as well as argues for the role of the deacon to be one who leads, as well as one who serves. The third chapter narrows its scope to argue for a shared leadership model among the servant leader deacons of any given church. Chapter four is the implementing of the project itself. It includes all that is needed to duplicate the project at your church, such as the four-session training material, as well as how I recruited participants, developed the curriculum, and taught the curriculum. The final chapter is simply personal evaluation of the strengths and weaknesses of the project. I discuss things that I learned as a result of the project, things that went well as well as some things that I should have done differently. In the appendixes you find all the various aspects that you need to print and use for your own training, such as the training material itself, the recruitment letter, the pre-and post-test, etc. May the Lord bless you as you glean from this project for your own project or implement in your church.David Allen Williams, Doctor of Ministry in Christian Leadership Advisor: Dr. Shane Parker, Ph.D. School Name: Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, 2022"],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["b2ad2862-737d-4dde-8145-b9b6962ac5f3"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791133183669960704,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:15:14.528Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T19:59:39Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:14:22Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"e4da1c65-2cb9-4459-bfb8-59e5eab970d6","accessControl_ssim":["e1f63b58-8ada-4d4d-b523-51952b0cdcf2"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Prioritizing Listening as the Leadership Training Fundamental: Equipping Leaders with the Art of Listening to Bring Christ-Centered Harmony to the Church"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T19:59:37Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T04:40:51Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["f38811cd-8d7a-4f00-a596-3115951ceb2a"],"hasLease_ssim":["52070398-3cd7-4e1e-b926-72a4dd7913e8"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Doctor of Ministry"],"discipline_tesim":["Pastoral Leadership"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Tim Deahl Th.D."],"year_tesim":["2022"],"resource_type_tesim":["D.Min. The project gives a literature review on leadership and listening based on publications and dissertations over the last twenty years. The literature review shows that even though authors and researchers recognize listening is essential for leaders, there is no systematic training designed for the local church context. Then, the project examines a biblical and theological reflection on listening. After that, the project looks at a detailed description of an eight-session training that covers biblical teaching on listening, church application of listening, the servant attitude in listening, skills in active listening, and how to listen to God, self, and others. The training includes an active listening practice, which is purposely designed to be done in a short period to stretch the listening effort. At the end of this project, the actual training is evaluated. It provides some analyses based on the assessment results collected from the participants. It also includes a summary of the feedback gathered from the participants and future plans for the training."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["b2ad2862-737d-4dde-8145-b9b6962ac5f3"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791133131688902656,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:14:24.955Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T19:59:39Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:05:33Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"992cef83-cf60-47f3-a974-71084f9d67de","accessControl_ssim":["38958305-029e-48b8-89b9-19abf5662896"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Training Members of New Life Gospel Church in Keller, Texas to Understand the Love of God for Sustained Spiritual Growth"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T19:59:38Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T02:36:42Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["b6cdc7ff-ca43-4791-b0a7-2dc7750ab175"],"hasLease_ssim":["0bd25960-15e7-4605-a586-ed3839fcaece"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Doctor of Ministry"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Coleman Ford Ph.D."],"year_tesim":["2022"],"location_tesim":["United States","Texas"],"resource_type_tesim":["D.Min. The situation was analyzed through biblical research, historical review, and theoretical study. The analysis revealed that the Christians of NLGC Keller were still living in a state of spiritual war. Then, the project was designed to focus on solving this issue through ongoing heart transformation by the love of God. The project is called “heart transformation project.” Only God’s love can transform the heart. Therefore, Christians’ hearts must be put into the circulation of God’s love. The argument is whether God’s love can continue transforming Christians’ hearts. If Christians’ hearts can continue transforming through receiving and giving God’s love in the love-circulating system, the church will certainly grow up sustainably. Focusing on heart transformation, the project can be utilized as a discipleship training program. Through the process of transformation by God’s love, Christians are expected to grow up quickly to become acceptable to God after His own heart."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["b2ad2862-737d-4dde-8145-b9b6962ac5f3"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791132577337180160,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:05:36.285Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T19:59:39Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:57:05Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"51070d4b-be56-4715-ac67-f86d2573fee7","accessControl_ssim":["9e4e58ac-eeb5-4b1d-ba7b-f1654ed73cac"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["A Critique of Multi-Site Churches and Southern Baptist Ecclesiology"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T19:59:38Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T00:30:33Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["9bb6d200-6086-4d62-b847-4ffbb7124aa7"],"hasLease_ssim":["0e09937b-b5ff-49b6-bf1e-3eb65f2b8df8"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Doctor of Ministry"],"discipline_tesim":["Pastorial Leadership"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Maddison Grace Ph.D."],"year_tesim":["2022"],"location_tesim":["United States"],"resource_type_tesim":["D.Min. On one hand, MSCs have been touted as being successful in “reaching” more people with fewer resources, making it a very efficient and effective strategy for church growth. On the other hand, the structure of MSCs have been called into question. Some claim this movement runs wide of Baptist ecclesiology, resulting in a deluded and distorted representation of the NT teaching concerning the doctrine of the church. Southern Baptist opponents claim MSCs are a breach of Article VI of the Baptist Faith \u0026 Message 2000. The question at hand: Is it possible for one church to maintain Southern Baptist ecclesiology, particularly adhering to the BFM2000 Article VI, and adopt the MSC strategy? The research will address Southern Baptist ecclesiology from a biblical and historical perspective. An evaluation of the definition and history of the MSC movement as well as an evaluation of the various structures of MSC strategies will provide essential for a solid conclusion. A review of the critics, as well as a response to their prominent objections, is necessary to achieve thorough evaluation. It is the claim of this research project that it is possible for an MSC to adhere to Article VI of the BFM2000. Further, axioms derived of the research are organized to establish a system of tools that may be employed to equip an expositor to increase the quantity and quality of applicational content, improving communication of application in weekly sermons. The system, envisioned to encompass the techniques Rogers employs to navigate application, relies on analogous tools germane to early Adriatic sailing practices.Chapters 1-2 establish the premises on which the writer based his project. Chapters 3-8 research Rogers’ four techniques and develop his principles into Adrianic axioms for tooling. Chapters 9-10 express motivating insights, both practical and theological, behind the goals of the project. Chapters 11-14 test the expectations of the project in light of successes, examining the Adrianic tool set for weaknesses that might be bolstered for continued improvement of the system.Appendices 1-2 graph the research and parameters of datasets. Appendix 3 depicts iconographic materials representing the tool set (toolset) to better illustrate the Adrianic system.
