The author recommends that worship leaders, planners, and preachers infuse spoken word urban worship centers so that those spaces might be more relevant and reflective of contemporary urban African American culture.  To explore this notion, the author planned and executed a learning and worship experience that demonstrated and discussed spoken word as sacred art for sacred space. Therefore, spiritual journaling is a way of discipline for our spiritual growth.  It makes us to reflect in God, to purify our negative emotions and to find ways of solving our problems. The church often lacks ministries that channel the warrior spirits in boys in healthy directions.  The author explored the father-son metaphors in the Scripture and various warrior traditions and identified valuable ethical elements for a ministry focused on initiation. The three-year research focuses on the restarting experience of the Wellfleet United Methodist Church in Massachusetts, which employed strategies from both experiences, the planting of new churches and the turning around of troubled congregations.  The research describes the good, the bad, and the ugly of changing course in people's spiritual journeys and congregational lives. The diminishing zeal and the passion of the Salesian missionaries prompt me to ask the question 'can the Salesians be more spiritual and sensitive to the Nyishis and their tribal culture so as to incarnate Don Bosco's spirituality and charism in the communities they minister?' The biblical grounding considers Paul's speech at the Areopagus (Acts 17:16-34). Niebuhr's Christ and culture is the basis for cultural context. The church's history, Paul's ministry, and technological advancements such as language, architecture and cultural practices helped enable proclamation of the Gospel. Literature should be considered as a resource for preaching and observations are made about literature's use in preaching within two congregational settings -- a structured group versus casual interaction. Through the research the writer tried to suggest the methods to understand the conflict of the church members under the negative impact of the conflict in the church rightly and to show the biblical solution of the conflict. The author made the surveys of the people who finished the 4-week small group Bible studies and then compared the changes of the peiople before and after the Bible studies by analyzing the answers of the questionnaires. Site visits were made to four nationally recognized United Methodist urban ministries that engage in partnered ministry initiatives.  Insights gained from these visits were applied to the development and implementation of an asset based partnered ministry model for the United Methodist Church Union.
