Laity do not tend to speak about the spiritual experience and consequently can lack confidence in spiritual leadership. Nine ARMBA received a five point Likert scale survey for their adult parishioners to complete. The survey included three sections: demographics, discovery, and an evaluation of the study. Thirty-three individuals completed the survey. The overall results were favorable. Reported responses included a need for heightened awareness to engage the unchurched, to practice a higher level of acceptance and hospitality, to have greater intensity in serving the community, to provide relevant programming and to communicate the need to practice self-awareness when ministering to the unchurched. The study was an action research using a qualitative phenomenological approach. A reflective program, named 'Uncommon-8-weeks' was designed and introduced to the congregants to practice reflection on eight sermons preached for eight consecutive weeks. Research result identified seven aspects of post-preaching reflection: remembering, considering, connecting, self-examining, desiring, planning, and acting. The leaders developed three areas listed in Natural Church Development as being critical to a healthy growing church. A survey was conducted and then the leaders made changes to their model of leadership shifting from a 'top-down model' to a model that empowered others and shared authority. A second survey measured congregational responses to the changes. After research and creation, the course of study was taught over the course of one academic year. This project tested whether the curriculum developed could meet the OME's requirements for a course of study, be endorsed by an expert panel of Christian educators from Ontario and be found to be engaging and beneficial to a cross-section of high school students. Few churches are seeing new converts. This stands in stark contrast to the explosive growth of the early New Testament church in the book of Acts. This paper seeks to understand what the factors were that resulted in such growth through evangelism and to discern what transferable principles may be applied in the contemporary church to promote effectiveness in evangelism. It reviews why and how amalgamation took place, and surfaces the need for an appraisal in response to new insights and perspectives.  In rural realignment, 'small is beautiful' and attitudinal and spiritual dimensions play an important part.  The report relates the work of the candidate with his Ministry Base Group and with people who experienced amalgamation: those whose churches were closed, those who were in the host churches, the ministers of closed churches, and the people who prevented their churches from closing.  Amalgamation was, for the most part, a negtive experience with a legacy of unresolved problems.
