It was hypothesized that this would increase their experience of and expression of gratitude. The program highlighted the benefits of gratitude and practices that would increase gratitude with the group for twelve weeks. The participants filled out a pre and posttest and answered eight qualitative questions. The method used to determine the impact of servant leadership was a questionnaire designed to assess attitudinal changes after people had participated in servant related activities.  The results of the survey showed substantial positive impact on the participants' cognitive, affective, relational, and spiritual attitudes. The author's congregation is the setting for a case study in which a Christian community's encounter with non-Christian religious perspectives prompts commonly recognized paradigms of response (exclusivism,inclusivism, and pluralism) to other religious faiths as ways of salvation. The study proposes that persons will evidence preference for the attitude of religious pluralism. The author uses a control group and two study groups.  Only the latter two groups receive instruction.  The Flanders-Amidon style descriptions are used with those two groups.  The project tests two variables: awareness and attitude.  For the first, the research supports the thesis.  For the second, it does not. Attitude change was determined through the use of a questionnaire that was administered prior to and following the delivery of four sermons.  A comparison of the scores indicated the attitudes of the congregation did not change.  There was evidence that the attitudes of some members did change. An attempt is made to isolate some factors which make growth possible in such congregations whose constituencies are not homogeneous.  Interviews were conducted in ten congregations meeting the author's criteria for diversity and for growth/health. The expectation of the hypothesis was that significant changes in attitudes would take place.  The conclusion indicated that the participants made significnt changes in their attitudes with the resulting perception that women have a complementary and equal role to men within the
