The resource was designed to provide families with an extended case study of the international adoption process. The most prominent finding was Goal #5: Institutional Living. Parents of internationally adopted children find themselves at a loss to comfort, develop, and discipline boys and girls who grew up in orphanages. God's goodness can become blurred and muted by parenting difficulties and limitations. The problem studied was the effect a four-month group intervention with parents, focused upon the Triune God's goodness and gratitude rhythms, had on reducing parenting stress. Quantitative results of the four month group intervention were statistically significant and supported by the qualitative results. Those who practiced the gratitude rhythms expressed reduced parenting stress (12.6%) and pulse pressure (9.8%). The participants were eighteen parents and grandparents within New Community Church of St. Marys Ohio. Robert Coleman's eight principles in The Master Plan of Evangelism (selection, association, consecration, impartation, demonstration, delegation, supervision and reproduction) were the major focus of instruction and hands on week to week assignments. The premise was that pastors can easily and inadvertently neglect the spiritual health of their own children. A panel of clergy couples evaluated the resource, Pastoring First Church, on a Likert agreement scale questionnaire and with open-ended questions. This panel indicated that the resource met its goals based upon their high evaluations. It focuses on COGIC pks who share thier stories. Findings reveal that home life is foremost in relation to impact on identity formation. Three pk types were established, in response to growing up under the authority of a preacher/parent. Recommendations were made to increase positive impacts and reduce negative impacts on identity formation. Chapter 1 provides the context of the church and community settings. The goals, definitions, and limitations are also given. Chapter 2 gives the biblical, theological, and historical bases for the evangelism of children. Parents and the church are to work in partnership in the evangelism and discipleship of children. Chapter 3 examines cognitive and spiritual development of children. Personality types are examined as they relate to spiritual sensitivity to provide an overview of intentional evangelism. Chapter 4 covers what happened during the fifteen-week project. This chapter focuses on giving the facts of what happened and who was involved. Chapter 5 is the evaluation of the project. This chapter shares the goals that were met and those that were not. The author gives his personal theological reflection. The project was conducted in March of 2007. The parents were provided syllabi and participated in three teaching sessions, enjoyed a catered lunch, and concluded the workshop with an extended time for questions and answers. Follow-up support groups met for the three consecutive Sunday evenings.  The seminar addressed cognitive, skill-development, and affective issues centered on the issues of childrearing. The neglect of faith formation with children in the home is widespread among Christian parents.  The research question asked was, 'if Christian parents are equipped by their minister for leading their children in family worship, will they become more confident, competent, and committed as their children's spiritual leaders?' Results from the 'family altar workshop' revealed that parents will embrace a more intentional role once they are challenged and equipped; however, follow-up accountability is the key for
