The project provides a route to a more cooperative, Christ-like, and unified evangelical interchurch community. Biblical and theological sources were used to gather data for this project. Further, this project contains information form interviews and fields notes from three case studies at three sites in northern New England. The goal of this research is to see if these two faith streams are similar in thought or different. The researcher looked at important voices in Christianity to see what they say about the topics of reconciliation and unity. The researcher also looked at scripture references too. the researcher looked into voices in both faith streams and interviewed two pastors from each stream. First, the project director researched demographics surrounding the church to determine the ethnic diversity and trends of the community. Second, he examined existing strategy models to determine the best methods for reaching multiethnic unity. Third, he enlisted a Strategic Planning Team from the church staff and leadership to develop a strategy model and action plans for reaching multiethnic unity. Finally, the project director presented the final product to selected church committees and teams for approval. Although progress has been noted concerning ethnic and racial relationships among America's citizenship, it is also clear that our nation must continue to move forward in breaking down ethnic and racial barriers that still divide. This dissertation proposes that the solution to what still separates one racial or ethnic group from another begins in the multiethnic church through transformational leadership. Although each of these multiethnic churches have come to the same conclusion regarding the importance of being united and inclusive based on their biblical understanding of the New Testament, they have important differences in their strategies. Upon closer examination of each of these representative multiethnic churches, one finds variations because of differing motivations for doing multiethnic ministry. This study focuses on examining these variations. The first part of the project is based on library research. The second is interviewing and analyzing other pastors in the Korean American church and congregation.  Because of conflicts and splits, the Korean American church is unhealthy and too weak to lead society and young people despite the church's great growth. Both pastors and congregations need to renew their understanding of the relationships that cause conflicts and splits leading to a spiritual maturity and the idea of a vital community. The Korean American church must practice new spirituality initiating and sustaining interdependent relationships internally and externally. The goal was to address the theme of biblical leadership using a retreat setting and opportunities for group dialogue and reflection in order to help the leaders in the church to better understand and practice more effective and faithful leadership. The project addresses the theoretical assumptions that underlie the project, including biblical and theological assumptions as well as assumptions about the church as an organism, leadership, and the culture of the church. Participatory Action Research method: The research process involved in this study led to important findings. Participants acknowledge that the culture of the merged congregation has a significant impact on the strength and effectiveness of the congregation's leadership. Results from this study also suggest that the process of engaging in the Participatory Action Research together resulted in a process of the leaders beginning to construct a new culture for the congregation. By engaging in the process, the leaders helped to both re-envision and reenact their relationship as a more collaborative and less conflictual and to begin to see the congregation as a single unified church. Secondly, the leaders began to see the church more as an organism rather than an organization. As they began to glimpse themselves as an organism, they see not only the differences among members, but also their relatedness. They understand themselves as different parts of the Body of Christ with different roles. They also see the role of Jesus as the head. In an organism, control is not distributed but retained by the head. He led one group in an understanding of the possibilities of missional transformation in the local church.  He led another group in a discovery of their faith story through the use of a timeline. He used sermons, seminars, interviews, group explorations, and prayer in this ministry project.  Phone interviews, tests, and interviews were used for research and evaluation.  The participants revisited their past and attempted to embrace the realities of their own mistakes and forge a new identity in ministry for the
