The purpose of this project is to explore how a renewed understanding of 'apostolicity' can bridge social and cultural divides. The three samples of this study will include two movements (one ancient, one contemporary) and one local church. In addition, there is a biblical-theological overview of 'apostolicity' (with focused exegesis of Ephesians 4 and Acts 17). Well prepared joint worship services and ministries could be implemented to bridge the gaps. Joint worship services with different interpretation methodologies were tested and two joint ministries were conducted. Interviews and questionnaires were used as evaluation mechanisms. Joint worship services could be able to achieve the purpose in conjunction with effective joint ministries. Traits of the generations are discovered through literature review and field research, using the grounded theory method. Second, mission is described with eight viral factors that caused the spontaneous expansion of the early church. Third, the researcher created strategies to maximize the traits of the generations by reviewing which traits are leverageable or prohibitive related to the viral factors. Generational entelechies are discovered and generational cultures are defined to build a whole-church multi-generational missional culture. The author has examined two large Chinese churches in the greater Vancouver area with a set of questionnaires that is designed for the comparative analysis of distinct cultural conflict patterns.  The project finds that there are certain common cultural traits and core values that are root causes of the ministry conflict. The project leader seeks to target both traditional and postmodern members of all ages and lengths of membership that will result in a wide cross section from the congregation. This will enable a balanced approach to the understanding needed to properly evaluate past history, define current growth and allow for creative planning for the future. This model will address both the traditional and postmodern cultures each with its own unique needs and desires. The project leader wishes for both groups to grow numerically and spiritually within the church. The challenge will be to lead both generations to appreciate one another and to allow that appreciation to lead them to cooperating together in the spirit of unity. The desired outcome of this research project if for both traditional and postmodern members to understand each other's various needs and to be willing to accept ministries that will meet the needs of both groups within the same congregation and in the community. On the basis of questionnaires and interviews, the project identifies language differences as the primary sources of conflict within families, yet greater conflicts stem from the clash of different models of social interaction--authoritarian and Korean, egalitarian and American. These styles of parenting generate the same conflicts in the church as in the home. The research method included randomized and nonrandomized samples utilizing two control groups and three experimental groups.  Five testing instruments were used.  The project director employed a sermon series from I Corinthians, an intergenerational discipleship course, a young adult course on senior adulthood, and an intergenerational activity council during the implementation of the project.  Each group was observed and tested to determine if intergenerational koinonia had been achieved. It concentrated on the way situations of conflict are handled within those relationships.  A context was created in which four family groups could examine their relationship and analyze their interactions and the effect their behavior had on family life. Participants engaged in a variety of experiences over seven sessions while using such analytical tools as the Thomas-Kihlmann Conflict Mode instrument. Both parents and young adults reported positive changes in their relationships at home as a result of their participation in the
