The design of the project included the administration of the pre-test and post-test questionnaires, along with personal observation and interaction with the trip participants. This project was designed to help students in Thailand begin a process of searching for exegetical models useful in their setting, testing a thesis that patristic modes of biblical exegesis may prove helpful. Attention was also given to the adjunct fields of New Testament interpretation of the Old Testament and biblical interpretation in the non-Western world. The research conclusions reflect various core values, key principles, and training methodologies and strategies as they are realized in the philosophy of the program design, the characteristics of the student population, the cultural context, the training needs of the target audience, the personalities and philosophies of the main leadership core staff, and other factors of the specific training institution. The final recommendations to educators in Majority World ministry training programs are: (1) develop a strong indigenous infrastructure before launching the program, (2) avoid dependence on foreign funding and expatriate faculty, and (3) develop a healthy training model that plans for measured growth. Consequently, the women formed a commission within EATWOT with its own program of 'doing theology from the perspective of Third World women.'  The rest of the chapters focus on the growth of the women's theological consciousness, first corporately through the work of the commission, then individually through the separate stories of eight of its members. The project focused on immigrants who had become related to The International Church of the Metroplex (TICOM).  Separate practicum discussion groups of immigrants and Americans and a random survey indicated that even though they had had negative experiences, especially of rejection from white churches, the immigrants had kept their Christian faith intact.  The practicum also revealed that it was a lack of contact and interaction between the Americans and the Third World immigrants which was responsible for  their fear and mistrust of one another. The project concluded that a dialogue between the two groups might bring about mutual
