The findings of this study are based on library research, listening and 20 years of the researcher's pastoral experience.  The study concludes that marriage is a this-world human institution planned by God (Gen 2:18, Matt 22:30).  It was planned for alleviation of loneliness, a fulfilling sexual intercourse, procreation, economic support and mutual responsibility for God's creation. Although monogamy is portrayed as the ideal, polygamy is validated as marriage.
