Ten Likert statements and three survey questions were designed to discover the mistakes that, destroy trust, prevent unity, and inhibit change. The discovery survey revealed nine common mistakes, the greatest of which was behavior which caused a lack of trust. the two methods of collecting data revealed inconsistencies in congregant responses between the Likert statements and the survey questions. The task consists of four components.  First, to research and to formulate eight core biblical convictions that are essential for the task of expository preaching. Second, to research China and its culture, the Chinese mindset, and the house church movement. It also looks into the learning process of the rural people and the training resources in preaching. Third, to design a biblical preaching course targeting Chinese rural pastors who have a lower level of education. The training material is adapted from Dr. Haddon W. Robinson's step-by-step process as described in his book, Biblical Preaching. Throughout the Scriptures and the history of the Christian church, God has revealed his heart for rural people and places. The purpose of this praxis was to encourage and equip pastors for effective rural ministry through biblical, historical, and practical reflection. A group of eight rural pastors participated in a series of four one-hour workshops and a one-hour discussion session. The director was able to assess the value of the praxis through questionnaires and a discussion forum. The 6 stresses are finances, time, pressure for results, isolation, penetrating a closed rural system, and lack of preparation in seminary. It examines the biblical basis of marriage, ministry, and stress through biblical characters. Research consisted of extended interviews of 9 rural pastors who share experiences in each area of stress.
