The terms 'gospel,' 'kerugma,' and 'contextualization' will be defined and delineated. Examining Paul's sermons in Acts with those by the early Apostles (Acts 2:14-42; 3:12-26) a unified threefold rhetorical methods and message is discovered. The project discovered the process of formation that was being accomplished through the Cohort Program by using a survey of twenty-four questions that was administered through SurveyMonkey.     The questionnaire gathered quantitative and qualitative answers that determined that there was spiritual formation occurring as a result of the Cohort Program. Gaining clarity on and then dealing with this confusion became the driving impetus for the project. Our leadership team was confused about the definition and conception of discipleship (clarified through a study of Philippians), about divine-human dynamic of discipleship (clarified through an analysis of O'Donovan's Self, world, and time), and about how to overcome impediments and gaps within our individual histories of discipleship (clarified through in-depth interviews concerning discipleship). This report seeks to explore how prayer and pastoral care can be revitalized for lay leaders in order for them to be more skilled and comfortable in their roles. The research used a survey to gather the thoughts and opinions of lay leaders. The drop produces progressive distancing from the rootedness of Christianity, a propensity to become secularized, and the loss of relationships that formed these youth as children. This paper studies whether there is a connection between the way churches understand and prepare for Confirmation and possible reduction in attendance after it. The research seeks to: 1. Explore the biblical basis of the single-parent family, 2. Understand the needs and issues of the single-parent family, 3. Explore the influence of the redeeming grace of Christ to the single-parent family, 4. Provide care workers with practical goals and methods when working with the single-parent family, and 5. Manifest the love of Jesus through church-caring ministry to comfort the single-parent family and strengthen their hope and trust in Christ. Using the approaches found in theology and scripture on caring for single-parent families, this qualitative study examines four categories of single-parent individuals: widowed, divorced, unmarried mothers, and pseudo-singles. The mentoring sessions was designed to bring hope, healing and wholeness to women of diverse ages, and backgrounds. The hypothesis was that mentoring would shift participants from brokenness to wholeness. The project was implemented through collaboration with women abiding at women's shelter, and the Executives Director. Participants engaged in six-weeks of mentoring. The research methods used to test the hypothesis and evaluate results were measured utilizing qualitative analysis. Understanding the language differential and using particular rhetorical techniques can facilitate a clear, effective transmission of the message. From the Great Commission of Matt. 28:18-20 disciples are mandated to teach relational Christian education. Historically church leadership has been negligent in understanding this mandate. As derived from the Great Commandment in Matt. 22:35-40, Christian education is to teach obedience based on relations more than regulations. These relations originate from the Godhead's trinitarian relationships.
