The author's purpose was to investigate why the church died by performing a complete autopsy on the church body. His examination included a review of pre-existing conditions, examples from Scripture, and research from contemporary authors. The key evidence in the case came from the results of a questionnaire and semi-structured interviews with church members. In the end the author determined that the cause of death was due to complications surrounding stagnant leadership. The components of the project included researching the field of missions as it relates to UUPGs, developing a seminar to train the selected members of MVBC to adopt a UUPG, and equipping the selected members of MVBC to adopt a UUPG. Experts were enlisted to help establish a standard for both research and seminar component quality. The project director's professional goals included increasing the project director's knowledge of adopting UUPGs and skills in instructional theory and curriculum design. It is my belief that spiritual growth will result in changed lives if there us proper application of the Word of God, in spite of circumstances or challenges. I want to examine my hypotheses regarding the relationship between expository preaching and spiritual growth among African American women of multiple generations. As means of determining how expository preaching, when appropriately applied, can lead to spiritual growth among multigenerational African American women, I used a variety of methods. I administered empirical studies, developed teaching curriculums, preached sermons, and received both written and verbal feedback from the women of Second Calvary Baptist Church between the ages of 26 and 80. A definition of discipleship was developed based on Jesus' model, history and current cultural realities. Eucharistic themes and practice were explored theologically and historically with an emphasis on a Wesleyan world view. The model presented in this study is that discipleship is to be the channel through which the themes of the eucharist are introduced into a believer's life. This team was involved throughout the process of exploration, planning, development, and the preliminary stage of implementation. The process of implementation in regard to this project was to present the developed strategy to the Directors of Missions from Autauga, Elmore, and Montgomery associations as well as the Director of the office of Collegiate and Student Ministries from the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions. The rejection of approval of this project by the Directors of Missions and the Director of the office of Collegiate and Student Ministries will not determine the success of the project. The goal of this project is to develop and present a strategy. The promotion of Sunday School evangelism at Tabernacle Baptist Congregation would enable the author of this thesis project to respond. A congregational profile will enable the author of this thesis project to discover the challenges that this church is facing in promoting Sunday School outreach.
