The study concludes that the Mbarara Diocese's Eucharistic Centers' program does not accord with the ecclesiology of the small-community movement.  It contributes to the basic ecclesial community goals of the diocese by clarifying the theological and pastoral nature of the small-community movement as applied to Mbarara.  It suggests key issues which need to be dealt with in formulating a viable small-community program for the diocese, notably those related to the need for in-depth reflection about how current parish structures and leadership models should be modified to accommodate a BEC program. She then examined personnel structures from this retrospective stance.  She drew conclusions pertaining to each department which will promote care of personnel and accomplishment of the task for which the mission exists--Bible translation.  The author concludes that the organization's low termination rate (1.296 percent) highlights their current proactive management procedures. The Navigator 2:7 Bible Study Series was the methodology used in this study. Southern Gables Evangelical Free Church, Denver, Colorado, provided the test groups in which growth or non-growth in discipleship was measured.  Measurement of progress was based on a testing instrument developed around the Navigator 'wheel' illustration. A worship project of five and one-half months involved the membership of the First Baptist Church, Laramie, Wyoming, as a test for the use of the principles.  Based on the response from worship surveys and use of worship guides, the principles were determined as valid for application in the three stated categories. Participants were given an opportunity to visit patient wards and to reflect upon their experience through the peer group process.  Participants were to read three books during the three months.  the objectives of the project were: 1) to involve persons incarcerated in a state prison in spiritual direction; 2) to help them discover that they are in personal relationship with a God who loves them unconditionally; 3) to enable them to discover that profound human freedom can issue from such a relationship; and 4) to note and critique the impact that this kind of relationship has on the person's sense of self, the person's choices about his/her life and the person's relationships with others. This project was done as a ministry of reconciliation.  Its purpose was to get churches in the lake area to appropriate as their own a new chaplaincy program to campers on the lake.  The author experienced the chaplaincy program as a supervisor to the chaplain in the summer of 1982. A small group of members were taught models of conflict resolution and became the demonstration setting for practicing creative conflict resolution.  Pre- and post-testing demonstrated growth and positive change in each participant.  The congregation changed from self-defeating patterns in conflict, such as avoidance, to ones which accept diversity and value in appropriate conflict resolution.
