It also served to test the new form of organization for smaller United Methodist churches which place emphasis on group responsibility and accountability over that of hierarchical leadership. The training, which is described, occurred in nine sessions focusing on leadership skills and roles.  It was evaluated using the Style of Leadership Survey of Teleometrics, International, along with several other methods. Being aware of the importance of musical expression, the author, a pastor and musician, compiled The Richmond Psalter.  Intended as an introduction to psalmody for those with little background, it contains musical settings for 28 psalms.  Each psalm is introduced by brief commentary regarding its formal structure and theological implications. The context of the project was a three week clinical course in hospital ministry based on the pastoral counseling theories of Adams, Hiltner, and Clinebell and Carl Rogers' ideas.  The results from the project revealed a bell-shaped pattern of change. Material is included for a four-week seminar titled: 'Your faith and your health'.  Five sermons are also included.
