First, the project director researched spiritual disciplines and effective methods used in teaching children. Second, he developed a course to train selected parents in these discipleship skills. Third, he implemented the course by training selected parents.  Participants attended five sessions on selected disciplines, and they took a pre-test and post-test to aid in evaluation. The writing focuses on how Christians can maintain integrity in the workplace. The theoretical section identifies various business and social forces that work against maintaining one's integrity on the job and examines current research in the theology of work for its implications to laboring Christians. The project portion assesses and summarizes the theoretical factors and develops a structured Power Point course to teach theological, social, business and ethical considerations to working churchgoers. The supposition of the project was that a crisis exists in North American society regarding the capacity of young adult males to develop toward authentic manhood. The project's thesis was that training young adult males in spiritual disciplines would help them progress toward spiritual maturity and authentic manhood. Through this project the director taught participants how to practice six spiritual disciplines. First, the project examines issues faced by national Guard Chemical soldiers with regard to family reintegration. Second, the project examines Army training doctrine in order to address the reintegration issues. The end goal of the project was to develop a marriage training program that takes place during a retreat format. The retreat would include many of the elements discovered during the research phase. The author followed a multi-method research approach incorporating qualitative and quantitative systems of inquiry including both archival and self-reflective inquiry (action research) methods. The author proved that the heart of the mission of Christ is the making of holistic or complete, mature disciples, and that the divinely ordained process for completing Christ's mission is through disciple-making movements through which churches are established. The goal of this project was for West View Baptist Church to become prepared to be a church planting church. The project director began this project by researching contemporary North American church planting ministries and receiving training in curriculum development. The project director used the knowledge gained to develop lessons for training the group of members of West View Baptist Church. This dissertation is specifically written for church leaders. It features a timely perspective on the current reality of Baptist faith and practice.
