The specific focus of this project is to identify ten essentials that will provide information and guidelines that could help women move through the process. Chapter 1 introduces the contemporary Filipino small group, its problems, the proposed solution, and the anticipated results. Chapter 2 investigates relevant literature. Chapter 3 introduces the first century church, investigates and interprets the context of the Greco-Roman house churches, and integrates the concept of the New Testament house churches with their Greco-Roman context and the content of their practices. Chapter 4 introduces the concepts of the twenty-first century church and small group, investigates and interprets Filipino small groups, and integrates the content of New Testament church practices with contemporary small group theology. Chapter 5 presents the results on the New Testament house churches and their implications for Filipino small groups. Most of them had very good jobs in the workplace and were in the leadership positions when they accepted the call. From quitting their jobs or taking early retirement, the process of becoming full-time ministers is a great challenge. Once they became full time ministers, the challenge of pastoring at churches is even greater. This dissertation discusses these challenges and how to overcome them. The author examines the biblical foundation according to Matthew 29:19-20, and connects it with the Sermon on the Mount to find the way of shepherding them to become true disciples after their baptism. Based on the Sermon on the Mount, the author sets a strategy and writes a curriculum to teach new immigrants to observe the Lord's commandment and to fulfill the Great Commission. This material should meet the need of and help the growth of their Christian faith, become a citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven and be the salt and the light of the world. Participants in the podcast project were members of the writer's own parish. The podcasts were specifically produced in relationship to homilies delivered in the local parish church. The project utilized a qualitative method of study taking weekly written survey reactions from participants and face-to-face exit interviews at the project conclusion. Participants were very positive toward the experience and found it enriching.
