This study found 113 churches had been planted. Surprisingly, only ten (9%) closed, another five had fewer than twenty in average attendance, yielding a failure rate (13%) far lower than expected (65-75%). What begins as a major mission to reach the pre-Christian in a particular community will at some point begin to shift in focus. What was once directed outward has now turned inward. This process happens so gradually that the shift is not perceived by church leaders. If this inward-looking phase is allowed to continue, at some point disintegration will begin to take place. Some type of intervention needs to take place for a course correction. There needs to be a re-introduction of evangelism into the life and mission of the congregation. That is the purpose of this project, to identify what that intervening course correction could and should be."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Trinity Evangelical Divinity School"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["c654e922-76d0-4427-ac29-e286b7997781"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791125957898141696,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:20:23.496Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T12:28:35Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:14:12Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"f1bc56d6-f769-4453-a6c7-cecde55c710a","accessControl_ssim":["9291c2ef-220d-459a-9510-7fdd22f39bee"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Using a ministry team in leading a congregation to understand and integrate worship as a lifestyle"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T12:28:34Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T05:02:05Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["9e0cf325-7925-47ad-b4ac-7dda905a829a"],"hasLease_ssim":["f9c45a55-35e2-4ea2-bbbf-a45aa327a501"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Gary W McCoy"],"year_tesim":["2009"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Kenneth M Hendrix"],"publisher_tesim":["Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Leadership--Religious aspects--Christianity","Worship","Church group work"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The purpose of this project is to use a ministry team to lead our congregation in a study of worship over forty days and then to challenge them to apply what they have learned.
