The evaluators were provided with a written and verbal  presentation of the H.O.P.E. Infusion Betrayal Trauma Seminar materials, and assessed its impact psychologically, cognitively, and spiritually. The results were measured statistically and by personal response. The author concludes that confessional preaching, centered in the gospel of Jesus Christ, is a way to speak truth to Power about the economic injustice situation of the working poor. An online survey covered the sources and symptoms of stress, coping strategies utilized, and the effectiveness of resources. Overall trends were identified, as well as differences in gender, age, and field location. The primary stressor was high expectations of oneself or feeling inadequate. Although their physical and emotional symptoms showed that they were significantly  impacted by stress, they responded in healthy ways.
