Grounded in the biblical assertions that Christians are to be motivated by the commands to 'love your neighbor as yourself' (Lev 19:18; Luke 10:27) and to 'go and make disciples' (Matt 28:19), the model is built upon three essential concepts: (1) a biblical motive and method for helping the homeless; (2) a comprehensive team mentoring approach; and (3) the necessity of ongoing training and support provided by a local Christian homeless service organization. Instruction included three introductory sessions and five implementation sessions based on Colossians 3:1-17. The first three sessions were an introduction to VIM, hearing God, and an inductive study of Christ in Colossians.  Implementation sessions included heavenly mindedness, sexual sins, social sins, Christlike graces, and spirit-controlled living. The project had three phases: interviews which included drawing a picture of God and self, ten worship times developed for the student body, and a second set of interviews with a second picture.  The findings, while not completely able to support the author's thesis since the project was subjective, did reveal naturally curious children who were eager to explore God's presence in their lives. However, the clear meaning for many Gospel metaphor sources are lost in today's culture, especially among youth. The purpose of this Major Applied Project was to help high school students gain a greater understanding of the Gospel message by updating the metaphor sources, by using a common element in their culture, cinema. Scenes from popular movies were used to help students better understand and articulate the following Gospel metaphors: redemption, ransom, rescue, reconciliation, regeneration, replace and release. The desired result was to equip those field mentors who have been trained in the principles of ministry supervision to resolve conflict between themselves and the student interns they supervise. The program involved twelve hours of training in both theoretical models and practical application. First, the project director obtained approval from the church congregation to allow the director to establish a ministry team that would develop the process.  Second, the director researched available materials on assimilation strategies in preparation for equipping team members.  Third, the director explored the field of curriculum design to gain the skills required to create a series of sessions in which the enlisted team members were equipped.  Fourth, the director led the sessions as team members developed the process.  Last, the ministry team presented the proposed process to the congregation for consideration.
