Semi-structured interviews were conducted and the results reveal a burgeoning vocational imagination with participants displaying a personal relationship with God, a growing engagement of participation in God's purpose for the world, a willingness to engage actively in vocational discernment, an ability to connect understandings of self with life commitments of vocation, and a passion to meet the needs of others. This project focuses on a small group of eight people in a congregation of one hundred members. The project consists of an eight-week class on hospitality with Bible study, a worship service celebrating hospitality, and data collected from oral, journal and questionnaire feedback. The research discloses that an already existing avenue for practicing hospitality when reframed as a spiritual practice changed people's attitude and behavior toward others, and drew them closer to God. While testing a survey to assess the propensity, the author discovered that pastor-size churches were answering like program-size churches. The survey focused upon congregational perceptions and in particular what was important and driving the congregations at their inception. Spirituality is the process of being related to and affected by the Spirit.  The Spirituality Assessment Inventory (SAI) was used to measure spirituality.  A series of sermons emphasizing the disciplines of Bible reading, prayer, fasting, worship, ministry, a rule of life, and spiritual formation were delivered.  Small groups were convened and qualitative data was gathered.
