Data was gathered and the model was developed through training, pre-testing and post-testing, interviews, and theological reflection and evaluation with peers and context associates. The findings of this project reflected a change in the treatment group's views on leadership and a realization that 'ministry' and 'vision in ministry' should be shared among all believers. This generation, known as Generation X, is vastly different from its predecessors and presents a great challenge to the church which is just now beginning to embrace the differences presented by the Baby Boomer generation.  Generation Xers challenge the church to show the validity of Christianity in this world.  They reject traditional institutions and beliefs while they become more and more skeptical of all truth claims.  This project will seek to train a group of Christians, members of Spring Creek Baptist Church, to share the gospel effectively in personal witnessing encounters with members of Generation X. This goal will be accomplished by teaching sessions which focus on the dynamics of Generation X combined with practical, on-the-job, witnessing experiences.  These Christians will be challenged to reach individuals who fall into this age group and cultural worldview. A sample 120 members of Murray Hill participated in a host of prayer initiatives to deepen the life of prayer within the ongoing life of the church.  Metanoia then examined fifteen heart attitudes that grow out of the life of prayer as related to church health. Strewn along the roads of change are companies whose engines were unable to deliver the power necessary to continue. As we look more closely among the many disabled vehicles, we also notice a number of church buses. The road of change has proven to be a strain for their vehicles as well. The project participant will study sixteen Old Testament names of God in the context of Scripture and will learn how God was revealing an aspect of his character in each name.  The study will define praise and its significant role in prayer and worship.  The learner will be led through this course of study to use the Old Testament names of God as a guide in offering prayers of praise to enhance personal and corporate worship. Western society is shifting from a modern to a postmodern mind set; the local church must adapt its teaching and leadership styles in order to retain postmodern adults for effective participation. The project research relates to the characteristics, thought processes and needs of postmodern adults. The core of the project was the development of a training model that incorporates experiential, relational and student-centered learning.
